Dr Salter graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, University of London in 1995 and trained in Paediatrics in and around London. She completed her training in 2008 as a dual qualified General Paediatrician with sub specialty training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine.

Dr Salter was subsequently appointed as a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in 2008 at St Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare in London. She was appointed as Head of Specialty in January 2015. St Mary’s is one of the four London Trauma Centres and her clinical practice includes both sick and injured children.

Dr Salter is well placed in her medico-legal practice to comment on the acutely sick and injured child and on both the treatment received in an Emergency Department and as an inpatient under the care of Paediatricians.

Dr Salter has experience both in her NHS practice and medico-legal practice in report writing and court appearances both as factual and expert witness in family, criminal and coroners court.
