Inspire MediLaw Senior Expert Accreditation
Senior Expert Accreditation is the second tier of accreditation.
This is open to established expert witnesses who have an existing practice and regularly provide medico-legal expert evidence.
For Senior Expert Accreditation, you must:
- take and pass an online multiple-choice assessment
- submit a report (anonymised, from a closed case) with a reflective note on how our training has enhanced your practice
- provide contact details for two referees (preferably instructing solicitors).

What happens next
Once you have completed the application process, you will receive details about the multiple-choice assessment. You must score at least 80% in the assessment to progress to the next steps in the accreditation process.
Once you have passed the assessment, we will be touch with details about the requirements for the report and the references.
Accreditation renewal
If you achieve accreditation, you will need to pay a small annual admin fee (£25 + VAT) each year for the accreditation renewal.
To maintain your accreditation status, you must provide evidence of six hours of medico-legal CPD per year (either with Inspire MediLaw or another provider) and provide a reference from a solicitor who instructs you.
