I was very pleased with the content and delivery of the Inspire MediLaw annual medico-legal conference. I found the day very enjoyable indeed. Having also been to other annual conferences, I found that I preferred the RSM venue and the fact that it was a smaller group of medics rather than the mixture of other non-medical experts that were there at other larger conferences. It made for interesting conversations and I enjoyed meeting some of the other delegates.

As an experienced expert who started on the journey of providing export reports for the court well before the introduction of expert witness training, I was well aware of the need to validate my knowledge, understanding and practice.
The Inspire MediLaw 2-day course at Oxford, followed by a multiple choice questionnaire and a cross examination at Strathclyde University was the perfect stage for conducting an appraisal of my expert witness skills. I found the Oxford course, provided by a knowledgeable and engaging faculty to be educative, challenging, collegiate and fun. The Strathclyde experience was slightly more nerve wracking but administered with care and consideration.
I have no hesitation to recommend this programme to all who have decided to engage in expert witness work wherever they are on their journey.

I booked the online Inspire MediLaw training course in report writing in order to improve my understanding of the law and my responsibilites in preparing medico-legal reports.
The online nature of the course allowed me to fit the modules in around my clinical practice and other commitments and gave me the opportunity to consider the topics in detail before moving forward.
The course is a great opportunity to learn from experienced members of the legal and medical profession about the theory and practice of medico-legal work. I found the online Zoom consultation to review my report writing particularly useful.
I really enjoyed the course and did not feel it was less worthy for being online. The content was excellent and it has given me confidence in my fledgling medico legal practice.

I really enjoyed the modules and found it to be very interactive taking the same case through from report writing to trial with simulated meeting of experts and conference with council. The option to get face to face feedback on my report was hugely beneficial along with the ability to ‘ask an expert’ on other practicalities around becoming a medicolegal expert. I found the speakers very good and their expertise in the field was very evident making my understanding of the more complex legal bits easier than I had thought it would be!
I came on the course to explore what it meant to be and what is required of an expert witness. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, learning about something completely different from medicine. I am now inspired by the course to embark on some medico-legal work in the near future.
