Professor Mark Callaway

Mark is a Consultant Radiologist based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.  He is the Lead Cancer radiologist for the Trust and a visiting Professor at the University of the West of England.

He was the deputy Medical Director at the Bristol Royal Infirmary until November 2021.

He is experienced in both interventional and non-interventional radiology and my fields of expertise include the chest and abdomen in particular gastro, intestinal and liver imaging. He has experience in all imaging modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine.

He was a medical director for the professional standards board at the Royal College of Radiologists.

He has authored several sets of national guidelines for the Royal College of Radiologists.

He has published widely and have delivered over 50 invited lectures to both National and International meetings.

He has provided expert reports for the Parliamentary Health Service Ombudsman in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland as well as expert reports for the General Medical Council.
