Mr Paul Sankey

Medical Negligence Lawyer, Enable Law

Paul is an experienced clinical negligence lawyer. He acts only for patients and represents a wide range of clients. Paul has particular expertise in claims for adults with brain injuries, conditions leading to amputation and the delayed diagnosis of cancer.

Paul’s opinion on clinical negligence matters has been sought by the local and national press, and his views are well respected. He is particularly interested in the issues surrounding consent and regularly gives seminars to medical professionals on the subject.

As well as speaking at some of our tailored conferences, Paul regularly delivers training at our two-day Expert Witness Training for Medical Professionals. His session covers the basics of clinical negligence litigation, providing a clear overview of the legal process.

Paul feels strongly that medico-legal experts need good training to enhance their skills in this important role. Teaching the importance, and method, of assessing all the available evidence, understanding the legal tests and addressing the issues thoroughly enables experts to carry out their duties effectively.

Paul says, “We need experts who are truly independent, balanced and tell the truth; who’ll give an honest, independent and reliable view. I don’t want someone who says what they think I want to hear. The quality of clinical negligence expert evidence is crucial for the right people to obtain justice while at the same time avoiding NHS resources being wasted on claims without merit.”
