Francis Morris has been a consultant in Emergency Medicine (A & E) in Sheffield since 1992 and has over 30 years experience in the speciality.

The Emergency Department in Sheffield is a large unit and Major Trauma Centre with an annual attendance of over 130,000 patients and includes a remote Minor Injuries Unit (MIU).

Francis Morris was the Clinical Director of the unit from 1997 until 2016 and oversaw the Emergency Department, Minor Injuries Unit, the Major Trauma Centre and the department of Acute Medicine

  • Advisor for the National Clinical Advisory Service a body which assesses the clinical standards of individual doctors.
  • National Director of continuing professional development for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine from 2013 until 2016.
  • Adviser to Welsh Health Authority on Complaints and claims
  • Adviser to the Health Service Ombudsman on complaints.
