Caren Scott

Caren has 20 years’ management experience in the healthcare industry. She is dedicated to improving access to justice for patients and their families, as well as for the clinicians themselves.

After training in business studies, Caren’s early career included roles as both a legal secretary and medical secretary in the NHS – enabling her to see the dual challenges of both sectors.

Later, Caren worked as Practice Manager to a group of neurosurgeons, with responsibility for a busy clinical practice. Subsequently, Caren founded Medicolegal Management – helping legal experts to enhance their knowledge on medico-legal issues through conferences and events. She also worked as an interim Senior Manager in the NHS, turning around cancer care performance, wait times for elective surgery and managing multidisciplinary teams.

In 2017, Caren launched Inspire MediLaw. She thoroughly enjoys the challenge of supporting medico-legal experts in growing their professional skills and experience in their work.
