Mr Fadi Alfhaily, MBChb, MSc, FRCOg is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in maternal medicine, urogynaecology, gynaecology ambulatory care and colposcopies. He has a keen interest in medical education having completed the RCOG advanced training skills modules in medical education, urogynaecology and maternal medicine.
Mr Alfhaily provides expert evidence for both claimants and defendants in personal and clinical negligence cases.

Cases involving urogynaecology including complications of surgical and conservative management of prolapse and urinary incontinence such as vaginal surgery and vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic floor repair, abdominal fascial slings, colpocleisis, sacrocolpopexy and sacrospinous fixation.
Ambulatory care for gynaecology including complications of diagnostic and operative hysteroscopic procedures and delayed hysteroscopic diagnosis of endometrial cancer.
Common gynaecological conditions such as heavy periods or abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids management, pelvic pain, benign ovarian masses, ectopic pregnancy, gynaecological sepsis and other benign gynaecological conditions such as abdominal surgery, including abdominal hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, salpingooophorectomy.
Colposcopy including delayed treatment or diagnosis of cervical cancer or precancer.
Acute/emergency gynaecology and early pregnancy (ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, ovarian cysts, pelvic abscesses.
All aspects of obstetrics: such as antenatal care, management of labour, childbirth (Caesarean section and instrumental deliveries – ventouse and forceps) including childbirth injuries and post-partum problems
Mr Alfhaily is a senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. He was appointed to his current post in 2010.
