I work as a consultant in Cardio-thoracic Anaesthesia in Glenfield Hospital, University Hospital Leicester, since 2014.
Apart from my role as a consultant in Anaesthetics, I am an appraiser in my hospital. I have full awareness of Good Medical Practice Guidelines and I assess and support my colleagues through their revalidation process.
I also run a high-risk preoperative assessment clinic for patients undergoing high-risk thoracic surgical procedures. This include assessing the suitability of the patient for surgery, risk assessment and consenting the patient for the risks of Anaesthesia.
I am also a full instructor of Advance Life support, accredited by the British Resuscitation Council. I am also on the way to be a full instructor of European Paediatric Life Support accredited by the European Resuscitation Council. I also have a full accreditation in performing Trans-Oesophageal Echocardiography accredited by the British Society of Echocardiography.
I have attended the Inspire MediLaw’s two day Expert Witness Training Course that is accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons.
I am now working towards the accreditation of Inspire MediLaw Institute for Expert Witnesses.
I practice Anaesthetics for other speciality like Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, ENT, Maxillo-Facial and Breast surgery in Leicester General Hospital, Spire Hospital Leicester, Nuffield Hospital Leicester and Spire Hospital Nottingham.
